District Parent Advisory Council (DPAC)
The District Parent Advisory Council (DPAC) is the official voice of parents for the Coast Mountains School District. The DPAC advises the Boards of Education on “matters related to education in the school district.” The DPAC is made up of members from each school's Parent Advisory Council (PAC) and meets once a month. PACs and the DPAC are a great way to be involved in your child's education!
What is the Role of the DPAC?
In accordance with the School Act, the DPAC advises the Board of Education on any matters related to education. In this manner, parent input gets passed along to district leadership. On some occasions training may be provided for parents, with speaker sessions, workshops and networking.
